Daywise

An iOS app for tracking habits and goals, built and shipped under Aveese.

The Purpose

Most productivity apps ask for a lot up front: sprawling task lists, streak counters, dashboards, and notifications competing for attention. I wanted something that did less, but did it every day. Daywise is built around a simple idea: a good day starts with a clear intention and ends with an honest look at what happened. Each morning you set your core daily focus, and each evening you reflect on what you actually accomplished. That small loop is meant to keep you pointed at what matters, and to give you a record of progress that’s easy to look back on. It’s a habit and goal tracker for people who find most habit trackers overkill.

The Application

Daywise built primarily for iOS but is written with compacitor so it can be deployed elsewhere too. As of writing this I have not deployed to the play store, but it is on the Web. It was designed to be quick to open and quick to close. The morning and evening check-ins are the core of the experience, no extra fluff or unneeded UI. The visual design is minimal: a dark background with purple accents, set in DM Serif Display and DM Sans, and the in-app copy stays short and plain to match. Around the app itself, I built the pieces required pieces every release needs. That includes a landing page and privacy policy hosted on Netlify, a support contact, a set of App Store screenshots and marketing previews, and a table-based confirmation email with fully inlined styles, since Gmail strips <style> blocks. It is shipped under my company Aveese.

The Result

Daywise is live on the App Store. It isn’t the first App I’ve published on the App Store, but it does have a much cleaner look. To my knowledge, my daughter and myself are the only ones that have downloaded and used it. That’s fine with me though.
